Inner Child

Have you hear a term "Inner Child"? I think the first time I heard about it was from my sister when she was taking a metaphysical course over 10 years ago. I didn't know what is the real meaning of Inner Child back then. I was in different place than now.

Last September, I was in Mt. Shasta, CA for a week long workshop. It was for an inner work and I treasure the experience and people I met. During the workshop, we did several group meditations, but one meditation left me a picture. What I saw was a baby wrapped in a white blanket. She had black hair, so I associated with her as me. She was left by herself on white space with no furniture, no floor and nobody was around. I was asking "where is everyone?" The baby herself was confused. I thought it is strange. Why am I seeing this picture.?

Early this year, I wanted to get an answer for my behavior, so I received a session by my teacher, Deborah Mills. During the session, I saw a girl who was 10 and 11 years old. I knew that was me and realized I was living on a street and I was an abandant child. Then next I was crying and saying "I wanted to be loved the way I wanted to be loved!!!" I never expected this to happen.

After the session, I had to take all in and process. It was a huge release from my Inner Child. I didn't know I had her inside feeling this way for so long.

Then a month later, I was in a group meeting and doing 2 hour mediation. After the meditation, the facilitator gave us the messages. What caught my attention was ".... heard.....". Again, my inner child was on! She wanted to be heard whatever she wanted to say. I don't know what she was saying, but "to be heard" was the most important thing! Yikes! Sorry, my inner child. I couldn't stop sobbing. I am sorry I didn't listening to you! I am sure she will pops up again.

Here is a good article about Inner Child from Dr. Diamond.

Love to you and me.
